Optim Project Management winner at CIJ Awards Romania 2021

The leader of the construction project management market, Optim Project Management has won the “Best Project Management Company” award at the CIJ Awards Romania 2021.

In 2021, despite the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Optim Project Management was alongside property owners, developers and investors, assisting them to finalize 13 projects in Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Oradea.

Optim Project Management assisted this year with the successful deliveries of two business centres: J8 Office Park, the newest development of Portland Trust set in a rapidly growing business hub in North-West Bucharest, and Tiriac Tower, Tiriac Imobiliare’s prime project in the CBD. The company also managed the office fit-out works of an important tenant of Tiriac Tower, R Systems Computaris Europe, and successfully delivered the new Google office in Bucharest. In Iasi, Optim Project Management assisted an important e-commerce company during the fit-out works of their new office location.

Contrary to what may have been expected due to the pandemic, in the hospitality sector, Optim Project Management delivered in Bucharest The Marmorosch | Autograph Collection, the mesmerising and vibrant 5-star hotel in Old Town, and the first phase of the refurbishment of the upper-scale luxury Athénée Palace Hilton. In Timisoara, Optim Project Management finalized ibis Timisoara City Center, being the first hotel in Europe featuring the new Square concept, and Convention Center (the extension of Hotel Timisoara), an interesting new building that brought the convention centre concept to the city on the Bega River.

In the industrial sector, a new waste treatment plant was delivered in Oradea by Optim Project Management to Stericycle; additionally, the company provided Construction Site Quality Management for Hella’s extension in Timisoara.

Optim Project Management assisted Mulberry Development to deliver ISHO Living Timisoara, consisting of 4 apartment blocks (600 apartments in total) with different height regimes, all connected by an underground parking system, and delivered Hornbach in Cluj-Napoca (Technical Due Diligence, Design Management, Project Management, Cost Management, Site Inspection services).

In addition, Optim Project Management has performed multiple Technical Due Diligence for important transaction deals throughout SEE & CEE and also Project Monitoring reports for investors and various banks. Optim Project Management was also successful in managing the arbitration process and conclusions on behalf of several high-profile international investors.

2021 was an outstanding year for Optim Project Management, as the company secured 24 new projects on almost all real estate sectors: hospitality, industrial/logistics, commercial, residential, and retail, and continued work for another five ongoing projects: Continental new factory in Novi Sad and the extension of Continental Automotive Timisoara, new IKEA Store in Timisoara, Stejarii Residential Club II in Bucharest and the new office of an American multinational technology corporation in Iasi.
