Optim PM assists NEPI Rockcastle to deliver the extension of Shopping City Galati
On Thursday, 18th of November, NEPI Rockcastle inaugurated the extension of Shopping City Galati, a project for which Optim Project Management was involved as general designer and construction manager.
“I want to take this opportunity and congratulate the owner for the new investment, as well as our team members that worked hard a year to deliver on time and on budget the extension of Shopping City Galati“, said David Evans, General Manager of Optim PM, adding: “We started the design in August 2016 and entered on the construction site at the beginning of March this year, delivering the project after only nine months with a team of 10 construction professionals.”
The extension process involved construction works for a gross built area of 27,900 sqm, the shopping mall occupying now a total GBA of approx. 62,000 sqm on two levels. The new added space provides a much-improved visitor experience and includes fashion, beauty and jewellery shops, a bigger food court, services and entertainment areas as well as additional parking places. Shopping City Galati has added to its retail offer a cinema complex with eight halls.
The full scope of services included general design and permitting, cost and construction management, health & safety and site inspection (dirigentie de santier).
