Optim PM Completes the Design for Arctic New Factory near Targoviste
Optim Project Management has designed a high-specification and innovative washing machine factory for Arçelik Group located near Targoviste.
Arctic’s new factory is the largest home appliances hub in Eastern Europe and has a gross built area of approx. 84,000 sqm spread on 70.52 ha, with a green area of approx. 67,700 sqm and has in total of 471 parking places.
Optim Project Management was appointed in 2016 by Arctic SA as the General Designer for this project, and its full scope of services included full integrated design services (Architecture, Structure, and MEP), Permitting and Project Management for tendering phase. Optim PM assisted Arctic SA during the entire construction period to comply with LEED rigor and currently, Arctic new facility is under certification procedures targeting the Platinum level.
The new investment is a Greenfield type and consists of a production building, storage area and offices, wastewater treatment plant, battery charging station, infiltration, and evaporation pond, concentrated solar panels and photovoltaic panels on the top of the building, retention tank, transformer station, etc. The factory is protecting the neighbourhood wildlife with specific environmental elements, such as a 30 meters wide tree line.
