Optim Project Management Adds Second mömax Store to its Portfolio with the Opening of Ploiesti Location
Optim Project Management announces the successful delivery of the new mömax store in Ploiesti, adding a second mömax project to its growing retail portfolio. This follows the earlier completion of the mömax store in Pitesti, delivered in March 2024. The new store in Ploiesti is a strategic part of mömax’s expansion in Romania and highlights the expertise and capabilities of Optim Project Management in designing retail projects.
The Ploiesti store, which officially opens today, involved the reconversion of a former retail building into a modern retail space for mömax. Optim Project Management provided General Design, Permitting and Technical Assistance services, guiding the entire transformation from concept to completion. The project required a precise and detailed approach to ensure the successful adaptation of an existing building to the brand’s specifications and customer experience goals.
The newly opened store features a gross built area of 9,740 sqm on a total plot of 21,795 sqm. In addition to the retail space, the site incorporates 1,465 sqm of green area, which enhances the store’s integration into the surrounding environment and reflects an efficient approach to land use. Additionally, the location includes 193 parking spaces, ensuring ease of access and convenience for customers.
“Our involvement in the mömax Ploiesti project further expands our portfolio of retail developments. This is the second mömax store we have delivered this year and the successful reconversion of a former retail building showcases our ability to design projects that require adapting existing spaces for new commercial uses,”
said Ionut Scarlat, Project Manager at Optim Project Management.
“The Ploiesti store is a reflection of our capability to deliver tailored solutions that align with our clients’ needs and objectives in a timely and efficient manner.”
The mömax Ploiesti store is designed to provide a wide range of furniture and home accessories, delivering a unique shopping experience that combines style, functionality and affordability. The reconversion project not only capitalizes on existing commercial space but also demonstrates an efficient use of infrastructure and resources, contributing to the long-term development of the local retail market.
Optim Project Management’s involvement in the project covered all stages of design and execution, from securing permits to technical supervision. By transforming an existing building into a modern retail outlet, the project showcases the company’s expertise in delivering value-driven results while meeting tight deadlines.
With this latest delivery, Optim Project Management continues to expand its presence in Romania’s retail sector. The company has an established track record of delivering retail, office, industrial, hospitality, residential and healthcare projects, providing a full range of services that includes general design, permitting, project management, technical assistance and general contracting.
